Week-End Events

Registration and the Meet and Greet will be
held on Friday at the newly restored Newton Train Station Depot (a
historic landmark) in downtown Newton. The railroad depot was burned by
General George Sherman during the Civil War and was rebuilt in 1905 and
is listed on the National Register. The historic train depot and its
beautiful grounds will be our hospitality location throughout the
week-end.
During the
week-end please plan to view family documentary/photos/memorabilia in
the air conditioned Family History Room (upstairs in the Newton Train
Depot) If you have family pictures/memorabilia and would like them to be
part of the displays please identify items, label and add to family
history room.
The air conditioned train station will be open:
